Driving Madeleine (France, 2022)

Charles, a troubled Parisian taxi driver is sent to pick up 92-year-old Madeleine on the day she leaves her house.  She wants him to drive her around her old haunts before she reluctantly moves into a care home, and the pair bond during the long, eventful journey.  As they share the drive past the evocative Paris landmarks, Madeleines back story includes flashbacks to some harrowing events in her past.  Moving, profound and touching, this is a real treasure of a film.
